Honor Flight – Logan Airport (Boston) 19 OCT ’14
We have been asked once again to be present at the send-off of (mostly) members of The Greatest Generation on there way to visit Washington DC War Memorials, most likely for their only or last time.
For this Honor Flight, those participating include WWII Veterans, Honor Flight staff, guardians, doctors and nurses
For those unfamiliar with Honor Flights…
Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.
If you are touched with sadness when attending funerals of our departed soldiers, you will have tears well up in your eyes in respect and in appreciation of what these Heroes, these members of our Greatest Generation sacrificed for our country and really for us, the benefactors.
To honor these soldiers is our duty.
You will not be sorry you did.
