Greetings fellow Patriots
As many of you know the NHPGR has two facets to our organization, those being the Mission side of the NHPGR house and the Help on the Homefront (HOTH) side of the house. The Missions side of the NHPGR conducts funeral escorts and Flag Lines for our nations fallen Heroes (any mission classified as an Honor mission) while the HOTH side of the house assists those Heroes in financial need and any type of event other than an Honor mission. While sometimes there is overlap between the two sides of the NHPGR house the Mission side and the HOTH side are kept separate to the best of our abilities.
The HOTH side of the NHPGR house is a registered 501c3 charitable organization and as such is governed by a Board of Directors (BoD) that meets on quarterly basis the second Sunday of January, April, July & October. All NHPGR members are encouraged to attend and participate in the BoD meetings helping to guide the direction of our NHPGR HOTH program.
The Missions side of the NHPGR house is led by a team of Ride Captains and Flag Line Captains. The Leadership team has also met on a quarterly basis although historically the Leadership team meetings have been closed door meetings. At the Leadership team meeting of 4-10-16 the topic of closed door meetings was discussed, after a unanimous vote by the Leadership team the closed door meeting policy for Leadership team meetings has been discontinued. The only caveat and it also applies to BoD meetings is if there is a personnel matter that requires discussion the meeting will go into executive session for confidentiality purposes.
With the aforementioned in mind I’m personally inviting and encouraging you to attend a special Leadership Team meeting that will be held on 11 May 2016 commencing at 6:00pm at the VFW 6 Court St. Concord NH. The purpose of this special meeting is to discuss our Flag Line protocols and any other topics that may arise. The meeting is limited to two hours and we take a tem minute break after the first hour. As a member of the NHPGR your input is highly valued in determining NHPGR protocol for our mission of Honor & Respect.
I’m hopeful you’ll be able to attend!
Respectfully
Bob Dorey
