Announcement of a new NHPGR State Captain

Greetings fellow Patriots

While we strive to avoid using the word “I” in our communications with you please afford me a moment of indulgence while “I” do so. I joined the PGR in April of 2010 (after skulking around for a few missions beforehand) since joining the PGR I’ve had the distinct privilege to serve the PGR’s mission of Honor, Respect & Support of our nations Heroes in numerous capacities, the most recent being afforded the indescribable privilege of serving as your NH State Captain for the past 4 years. Words alone cannot describe the journey of the past 7 years, riding and standing Flag Lines in the deep freeze of winter to the stifling heat and humidity of summer. From consoling heartbroken family members who’ve lost a young hero to a conflict far away to an elderly widow who has lost her soulmate to the tears of joy while sending off to DC members of our nations Greatest Generation. It has been a journey of immeasurable highs and gut-wrenching lows and I owe it all to you, my fellow PGR members. I’ve made friendships that’ll last a lifetime and had the privilege to ride and stand shoulder to shoulder with the most dedicated and fervent Patriots ever molded. I endlessly stand in awe of what you special people do to display Honor & Respect for fallen heroes that most likely you never knew, it amazes me to this day.

With the stage set, I’d like to take this opportunity to announce that Nick Marks was submitted to and approved by the PGR National Board of Directors to serve as your NH State Captain. Nick brings to the table an extensive skill set and is vastly qualified to lead the NHPGR into the future. I ask but 2 things of you, first, please join with me in congratulating Nick on his appointment as NHSC while offering him well wishes for success in his new role with the PGR. Second is that you afford Nick the same unwavering support that you’ve so generously afforded me the past several years. I will be stepping down in the next few days as your NHPGR State Captain.

For those who may be wondering I’ll not be going gently into that good night, at least not yet! While our personal plans are currently in flux we do plan on remaining in NH for a while and will still be active participants in NHPGR missions and events. I would also like to share that I have been elected to serve as your PGR National Vice President of Captains.

In closure, I will miss immensely the challenges and rewards of working with the team in NH while looking forward to the challenges and rewards of furthering the mission of the PGR on a nationwide scale. I can’t begin to thank you adequately for your selfless support of me personally, the PGR and MOST importantly the degree of Honor, Respect, and Support you bring to bear for the Heroes of the greatest nation on earth.

May you always enjoy “Fair Winds and Following Seas”.

Respectfully

It’s Not A Mission, It’s An HONOR
