The family of John A. Forbes, US Army, has invited the NH Patriot Guard Riders to provide an escort from the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home to his final resting place at Reed Cemetery and to present a flag line in his Honor at his interment service on June 24, 2017.
Mission Details: Saturday 24 June 2017
Southern NH staging for group ride to Colebrook: Mobil Gas Station, 1 Whitney Rd. (exit 17, I-93) Concord NH
We will proceed, as a group, to the main staging location in Colebrook with a 30 minute bathroom and gas stop in Twin Mountain. 3 x 5 Flags are encouraged, they will be furled for the ride up I-93. We’ll unfurl the flags at our stop in Twin Mountain.

Escort to Cemetery: Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home, 103 Main Street, Colebrook NH
We will be escorting Mr. Forbes from the funeral home to his final resting place at Reed Cemetery. When we arrive, we will form a Flag Line for Mr. Forbes’ interment service.

Flag Line: 11 am approximately
Tall flags will be provided.
After Mission event:
Upon completion of the mission for Mr. Forbes we’ll proceed to the Wilderness Restaurant in Colebrook for chow. For the trip south we’re planning on riding scenic Rt-102 in VT to Dalton – BE SURE TO BRING BRAIN BUCKETS IF YOU’RE GOING TO JOIN IN THE RIDE. From Dalton we’ll ride Rt-135 to Littleton where we’ll take a fuel and bathroom break, we’ll proceed down through Franconia Notch and provided time allows pick up Rt-112 in Lincoln to Rt-118 down to Rt-4 in Canaan and points south. If you have the time please join in the group ride back to the greater Concord area, we’ll be flying our 3 X 5’s for the entire ride.
